Bali, the trash paradise

Bali, the trash paradise

Bali, the trash paradise

What many years ago became well known as the heaven of spiritual retreat, surfers mecca, beautiful nature and smiley people, lately turned into hell on earth. No, probably worst than that, it became a fracking stinky huge toilet thanks to all the old, bald, fat and ugly tourists, their kids and those teenagers who are coming here to party until puking the frack out themselves. Trust me, it’s pure shit. Third world country life style applied to a booming village. Let alone very few places, everywhere else nearby a beach or a tourist spot will include local people who cant help but bothering you one after another just hoping to get some dollars out of your pockets. If they don’t succeed then they may even start to mock you. Roads are more than dirty, with no respect for pedestrians and drivers apparently have no driving license. There are piles of garbage everywhere, especially plastic bags floating in the sea (and these ones are not from the tourists but from all the uncivilized and ignorant locals). The only way to enjoy your holiday, get some peace and relaxation and don’t be bothered by those third class sellers who have barely graduated from primary school, go to non commercial places or stay within the walls of an expensive resort with its private beach.

Bella Tic pays 2 nights at Grrrrand Hyatt Bali

Dr. Tic

Dr. Tic Conar playing tennis

Le grrrand conar Mr Giovanni Tic made us spend two great days at a luxury resort in Bali, Indonesia! The king of beggars couldn’t go around unaccompanied as he was scared to death of being kidnapped by Indonesian people, or finding a snake in his room… So, by spending more than 1000$ in 2 days, he bought Alan Rooster’s support. Devi morir conar, tutto ticchettato, malato terminale in metastasi, eh no, oooooooooookey, alor, un grrrrrandd ritorno. Vai in svizzera a trombar conar. Senti la musica della barilla, dove c’e’ barilla c’e’ casa.

What happened in Bali

what happened in bali

what happened in bali ?

Just for those who were wondering besides the bad news of my stolen belonging, if I have anything interesting to tell about Bali and what have I been doing for 2 weeks on the island. The first good news is that I have learnt how to surf! (Well at least being able to stand on the table with mid size waves and being able to turn and control the board a bit). I’m sure spending my youth on the skateboard helped me a lot as in less than 2 hours I was already very confident with the surf board. I then participated to an Hinduism ritual by bathing in a common pool and drinking the “holy” water which was a very original experience (You can see the pictures in the Indonesia 2007 travel page). I drove around the island with Arya’s car searching for non commercial spots, and made a bunch of new friends. I did enjoy my time in Bali yes, but I just don’t understand why it’s so overrated. Like… everyone is talking paradise about it, but it’s actually nothing special to me, meaning, there is nothing you can’t find in any other touristic destination. Is it for the beach? mmm I remember myself swimming through plastic bags and other garbage in Kuta and other famous beaches. Is it for the waves? And what about australia then? Is it because is a very cheap place? Come on, most of the places in south east asia are very cheap as well. The food or the females? mmm I wouldn’t be too sure… Honestly the whole thing reminds me a bit about Thailand, same kind of tourists, same kind of bitches and beaches, and a hell of smiley and friendly people all around.

Poem for my stolen laptop

jakarta airport

jakarta airport

My dearest laptop, yesterday they took you away from me, they ran away depriving me even of chance to say goodbye to you. I have never given you a name, but I will never forget your unique soul, your stylish shape,..you see how attractive you are? I just leave you alone for 5 minutes that someone else couldn’t resist the temptation of holding you in his hands. We shared many adventures together, I found you in Taiwan and brought you all the way to Hong Kong, England, Italy, Malaysia and Indonesia. We travelled many places together and you never betrayed me, always ready to catch the wireless internet band even from the most remote places, always giving me the brightest 12″ smile. I everyday took care of your random access memory mounting the best components on the market. You never left me alone by playing my favorite music and videos, never forgot to advise me if you were ill, so I could get the best anti virus for you. You were witness of everything I wrote to my friends, my loves, my family and most important to myself. You were my missing genius, always ready to support me in every operation that was too tough for myself alone. You were never late at any appointment, with your dual core speed you were always there before me. Now that you are gone, I know you will do you best to protect my data with your awesome security systems, but don’t worry, If they hack you, I will not blame you, I know you fought until you could, loyal and willing to serve your duty till the end.

Something very unpleasant

Very sad news here: while in Bali, a thief broke in my friend’s villa and guess what, among other stuff they also stole my jewel, the nosham laptop, my inseparable mate, travel buddy and only best friend. Besides the economical damage, I lost many of the photos i took in Indonesia, the videos, a lot of my last writings, personal emails and files which i hope will not end up in the wrong hands. I had to block all my credit cards, some of my online accounts and change most of my passwords. The damage is big and irreversible. I will eventually buy a new one but for now, my travels, my mood and my brain is having a temporary breakdown. I have to switch off the line for sometime. Take a time off for myself. Days of silence for what happened. News strike. Goodbye and see you later.
