Scotland (June 2011)

Alan Gallicchio in Scotland

me in the scottish highlands

It’s the end of June and the wind blows freezing currents, while livid clouds never leave the sky, rain drops never let a single leaf of grass dry. Driving through the few main roads of Scotland is dangerous: you might get glamorously deviated by its landscape, an irresistible temptation for your eyes that deceivingly keeps you apart from reality. By watching it afar, you almost want to take out a piece of the green and eat it, as if the leaves were made of fine marzipan and the soil of chocolate. A funny accent and strange but lovely people are leading me to advise my old chaps to visit Scotland before you even think of getting to London.
