Title: Becoming beautiful while traveling

Date: March 2009

Only the free thinker who had traveled in farness and loneliness can esteem the beauty within his waking passage:
the beauty of arriving in a place for the first time,
the beauty of learning how to speak sentences in new languages,
the beauty of sightseeing the breathtaking marvels of the planet earth one after another,
the beauty of adventuring in the wild and untouched nature, the beauty of self acknowledging new skills out of pure necessity,
the beauty of meeting people from different cultures and let yourself being absorbed by their costumes,
the beauty of freely stopping at any point of your path to behold the surrounding, the beauty of tasting something unknown to your palate,
the beauty of having friends spread across the planet who are always ready to welcome you in their place,
the beauty of living day by day not knowing what is awaiting you the day next,
the beauty of packing your young belongings to leave to anywhere at any time and without consulting anyone,
the beauty of knowing that is never too late to start doing something,
the beauty of returning home at long last to be surrounded by familiar people, but reminiscing and enchanting yourself that there is something new, different and special within you…you can simply call it beautiful.

dedicated to my 6 years of traveling,

18 December 2007 – Poem for my stolen laptop - My dearest laptop, yesterday they took you away from me, they ran away depriving me even of chance to say goodbye to you. I have never given you a name, but I will never forget your unique soul, your stylish shape,..you see how attractive you are? I just leave you alone for 5 minutes that someone else couldn’t resist the temptation of holding you in his hands. We shared many adventures together, I found you in Taiwan and brought you all the way to Hong Kong, England, Italy, Malaysia and Indonesia. We travelled many places together and you never betrayed me, always ready to catch the wireless internet band even from the most remote places, always giving me the brightest 12″ smile. I everyday took care of your random access memory mounting the best components on the market. You never left me alone by playing my favorite music and videos, never forgot to advise me if you were ill, so I could get the best anti virus for you. You were witness of everything I wrote to my friends, my loves, my family and most important to myself. You were my missing genius, always ready to support me in every operation that was too tough for myself alone. You were never late at any appointment, with your dual core speed you were always there before me. Now that you are gone, I know you will do you best to protect my data with your awesome security systems, but don’t worry, If they hack you, I will not blame you, I know you fought until you could, loyal and willing to serve your duty till the end.

Title: Your lips

Date: August 2006 , South Male Atoll , Maldives

Preview: It was the day of my girlfriend’s birthday in Maldives , but on a very small island I had very few chances to find an interesting gift, besides sand and coconuts. I had couple of ideas , one was to swim to the coral reef , go on a free dive and try to catch some nice corals. Unfortunately her workplace was already full of those things all around. So I just decided to take out something from myself: a poem. I could have written a poem , dedicated to her even if she wasn’t really the subject. The subject in fact is again love.

Your lips

I love your lips , I can see the mirror of your emotions in them , reflecting your joy and sorrows.
Every words or smile of yours seems like a romantic dancing waltz.
When staring at them, I am so eager to have them that closing my eyes in a few moments , my lips are already making love with them.
To keep me alive, never stop moving them, because for each and every move, it’s a beat of my heart.

Dedicated to Jennifer,

Title: Extract of love

Date: September 2002 (Corse, France)

Preview: I was following a sailing course, we sailed from Italy to France so once arrived at the port the crew went to eat and celebrate at the restaurant. Instead I felt to stay by myself and take a walk by the port on the rocks and breathing the inspiration of the night. I sit down on a rock and I started to ask myself if I was able to concentrate in a few lines my idea of love. So I ran to the first club asking a pen and a piece of paper and I went back to my inspiration rock. That’s how i wrote the poem. A friend of mine also asked if I was thinking of a particular woman : as I remember , It was possible but probably I was just using her as the way to pull out my feelings and write them down.

Extract of love

I would meet you by chance during the sunset, when your routinely thoughts on the world are fading those pure and consciousness grip your heart…
and when our sights are intersected, identify ourselves for what we really are and for what we will be together…
and not missing any single moments of the time we already know it won’t be greater than the infinity that will pervade us a bit later…
and I would like our legs may lead us towards that shelter where only something really spontaneous as nature along with our most frightening fears may offer us…
and I wish I would fall asleep with you, holding you tight until I may feel your heart beating over mine…
and then wake up and explore with you the way to live over all the predefined rules and being happier not to have succeed, knowing that looking for something greater we will end up meeting again and again forever…
and later wake up and dream surprisingly to believe of dreaming my dream…and…finally ask you your name.
